THERE was commotion at Ijora Badia area of Lagos State when fire gutted a petroleum tank farm at Oando depot, along Gaskiya Road, on Thursday.
The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, while confirming the development, said his men had been deployed to the scene to put out the fire and prevent further disaster.
He said, “There is a fire incident at the tank farm at Oando Depot in Ijora Badia.
“The agency has activated its emergency response plan and all relevant stakeholders have commenced appropriate measures to combat the flames and prevent secondary incidents.”
He urged Lagosians to remain calm, saying further updates would be communicated later.
