Your Leadership Is Hypocritic, ADC National Chairman Knocks Buhari.

By Lawrence Duya, Abuja-Nigeria.

The National Chairman of Africa Democratic Congress, Chief Ralphs Nwosu, has once again, drawn Buhari out of his shell on the dwindling of democratic norms after 22 years of the introduction of democracy into the Nigerian political space.

Chief Nwosu made this known through a press release where he pointed out that true democracy represents freedom, liberty, social equality, equal rights and egalitarian society that guarantees freewill.

He lamented that it is hypocritic to give public holiday on June 12 and deny the people the right to express themselves. Such action waters down the ethos and principles on which democracy in built on according to the National Chairman.

Chief Nwosu charged the APC led government to stop the suppression of citizens’ voice and listen to the people.

“When you have an authoritarian regime that doesn’t respect ethics and values, rule of law or International Protocols of citizens, you have a society that is docile and doesn’t recognize innovation and creativity. If you have a society where everyone is allowed to express his/her feelings, the creativity in people will come alive” he said.

The National Chairman gave the position of ADC as, “however, for us in ADC in this period, we have seen that the government in Nigeria has become so unresponsive to various issues concerning the welfare and the critical issues of nation building and we have decided that there is no need to complain. We have taken it to God in prayer and told the citizens to continue to hold the government accountable because they must not count it as a privilege when the government finally decides it is convenient to speak to them.

“Come 2023, the African Democratic Congress, ADC, will create Freedom Square in every State. The Freedom Square will be built in all the States for the citizenry to go and express themselves 24/7, all year round. People will be able to go to the Freedom Square to show their grievances.”

Chief Nwosu further said, “we do not expect any miracle from this administration. Things get worse unfortunately, as Buhari and APC enter lame ducks mode: abnormality has become normal, people don’t have jobs and they can not complain. Families are hungry and they can not complain. The country is burning and presently on a cliff due to insurgency and insecurity from Fulani Herdsmen, Boko Haram, Unknown Gunmen, Bandits and so on, yet the people can not complain.”

He called on APC to give the people space to breath and admonished Nigerians to come together and vote out all the corrupt and oppressive people from government in the forth coming general elections.

June 12: ADC’s Youth leader urges Nigerian youths to shun apathy towards politics

The National Youth Leader African Democratic Congress(ADC), Barr. Maurice Ebam has urged Nigerian Youths to shun apathy towards politics and get ready to make their votes count come June 28, 2023.

The lawyer and pan Africanist said this in his appeal to Nigerian Youths on Saturday in Abuja. He added that no form of protest would salvage the situation the country is in and hence the need to transfer emotions towards getting PVCs ready for 2023.

He decried the use of social media to lend voice on national issues that bother on politics rather that active participation which he said yields to nothing.

He further stressed on the need for youth inclusiveness, pointing out if the population of Nigerian youths would make it the 16th largest country in the world if it constituted a country.

“My fellow Nigerian youths, we should please not overheat the already heated atmosphere, let us transfer our emotions and energies towards getting our Permanent Voters Card come June 28, 2021.

“No form of protest can surmount this one, our vote is our voice. Youths hope we are learning our lessons, let us not have a repeat of what is happening come 2023.We must vote passionately to make sure we do not sell our votes and demand our votes count.

“I tell my fellow youths that there is no polling booth on Twitter or social media. All our rants and wails do not transform to even one vote. As Nigerian youths, we must shun our apathy towards politics. A generational paradigm shift is what we must have. We must join a political party with a good manifesto, register as a card carrying member, vote in elections and contest for elective offices.”

“We need more youth inclusion and  participation.Politics is one of the best ways of serving humanity here policies that affect the generality of the people are made.

“If the 98million and counting Nigerian youths were to be a country it would be the 16th most populous nation in the world, bigger than Germany, U.K,Turkey and undoubtedly more.”

Barr. Ebam who hails from Cross River said that youths need passionate individuals with capacity who are willing to solve Nigeria’s problems

He restated that Nigeria is the giant of Africa for a reason and Africa is waiting for Nigeria. He said that while the nation needs the wisdom of elders, it needs the strength of Youth to move Nigeria forward adding that when Nigeria gets it right, Africa would also get it right.

The African Democratic Congress Youth leader urged Nigerians to join forces with the party and liberate Nigeria form bad leadership as the party believes Nigeria would be the world power in no distant time if it is voted into leadership come 2023.

“Youths need persons who are passionate about selfless service, ethical leadership, capacity and integrity.

“We need more youth inclusion and involvement in politics. Problems cannot be solved with the same eye used in creating it. We need passionate vibrant young minds ready to make a change.

“Africa is waiting for Nigeria and  we are the giants of Africa for a reason. Once Nigeria gets it right Africa gets it right Nigerian our numbers and diversity must be our strength not our weakness.

“I am a believer of one Nigeria. I am from the South Cross River State, schooled in Enugu University of Nigeria, Nsukka, did my law school in Kano and my NYSC Sokoto State and travel to the West often and I don’t use a visa.

“We need the wisdom of the elders and strength of we youths to create the Nigeria of our dreams.
“In Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) my party believes in youth inclusion in politics, leadership and governance. I am ADC National Youth Leader, the youngest National Youth Leader in Nigeria and Africa like other political parties where their National Youth Leaders are almost fifty years and older.

“On April 17, 2021 more than 50 million Nigerian youths and diaspora in an online poll adopted ADC as the Party for Nigerian youths.

“ADC is not just a political party it is a learning platform and a Pan African movement. We believe Nigeria that in twenty years Nigeria can become a world power. China did it before our own eyes.
There comes a time where we as individuals must rise and dedicate ourselves to greater causes aside notions of selfishness and apathy.

“Nigeria needs young vibrant passionate minds for collaboration that brings innovation,” he said.

Your June 12 public holiday hypocritical, ADC blasts Buhari, APC

NDDC board

By Chris Ochayi

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has taken a swipe at the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration for declaring a public holiday to mark democracy day whereas the regime does not believe in true democracy which guarantees freedom, liberty and egalitarian society for all citizens.

The National Chairman of ADC, Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu, in a statement issued on anniversary of June 12 Democracy day in Abuja, noted that giving public holidays for June 12 and not allowing people to express themselves is hypocritical

Chief Nwosu said the spirit of June 12 is the spirit of freedom and Nigerians should be free to speak but what the present administration is practising is in contrary.

According to him, ”After 22 years of Democracy in Nigeria, it is unfortunate that the government of APC has become hypocritical on the issues of Democracy. After 22 years, our democracy is supposed to have matured exponentially.

”True Democracy represents freedom, liberty and an egalitarian society where people have freewill. True Democracy is characterized by social equality and equal rights for all people.

”Giving public holidays for June 12 and not allowing people to express themselves in itself reduces the word Democracy.

”It is hypocritical that all we see today and in the last 1 year through the circle of this government, has not shown anything like freedom or people being able to express themselves freely.

”Our country has been fast reduced to an authoritarian regime where people can not freely express themselves. It is therefore hypocritical for this APC led government to show autocratic tendencies on one hand against June 12, and yet give public holidays for June 12.

”The spirit of June 12 is the spirit of freedom and Nigerians should be free to speak. This is what we see in this administration. It has never allowed or listened to the fears, lamentations and problems of the people it promised to serve. Rather than serve and lead, this government is ruling with brutal force.

”This APC led government must stop the suppression of the citizen’s voice. You need to hear them out. Let them express how they feel whether by protests or through social media.

”When you have an authoritarian regime that doesn’t respect ethics and values, rule of law or International protocols of citizens, you have a society that is docile and doesn’t recognise Innovation and creativity.

:’If you have a society where everyone is allowed to be expressive, the creativity in people will come alive.

”However for us in ADC in this period, we have seen that the government in Nigeria have become so unresponsive to various issues concerning the welfare and the critical issues of nation building and we have decided that there is no need to complain.

”We have taken it to God in prayer and told the citizens to continue to hold the government accountable because they must not count it as a privilege when the government finally decides it is convenient to speak to them.

”Come 2023, the African Democratic Congress ADC will create Freedom Square in every State. The Freedom Square will be built in all States for the citizenry to go express themselves 24/7 and all year round.

”People will be able to go to the Freedom Square to show their grievances. The ERA of Freedom Square will come to play a new and dynamic role in the life of Nigerian Democracy.

”We need to hear from the people so that whatever we need to do for the people, we do it because the ADC DNA represents freedom and authenticity which shows that we are real and not fake or hypocritical, taking advantage of the citizens.

”ADC is now running on the default strategy of Buhari-exit mode to 2023, we don’t expect any miracles.

”Things will get worse unfortunately, as Buhari and APC enter lame ducks mode: abnormality has become normal. People don’t have jobs and they can’t complain. Families are hungry and they can’t complain.

”The country is burning and presently on a cliff due to insurgency and insecurity from Fulani Herdsmen, Boko Haram, Unknown Gunmen, Bandits and so on, yet the people can’t complain.

”We therefore call APC to give the people space to breathe. Nigerians have to come together to vote out all the corrupt and oppressive people from government come 2023.”
