Edo: APC takes action on PDP’s suit against Ize-Iyamu

 

 

The Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) suit looking for the preclusion of Osagie Ize-iyamu from the September 19 governorship political race in Edo State was not heard on Tuesday.

Hearing was slowed down at the Federal High Court in Abuja because of a movement by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PDP had in a suit stamped FHC/ABJ/CS/69/20 implored the court for a request precluding Ize-iyamu because of not being legitimately selected by the APC.

The suit was documented on July 3, 2020 by PDP legal counselors drove by Ferdinand Orbih (SAN).

PDP is asserting that Ize-iyamu was not a result of a legitimate essential political race consequently, ought not be permitted to take an interest in the prospective political race.

Respondents are Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), APC and Ize-iyamu.
